About

An amateur radio operator working in television. I am the engineer for one of ION Media Network’s many stations. Over 6 years ago I began learning and using Linux. It was my main desktop for 4 years and I still use it on my laptop. Linux Mint was my favorite Linux OS during that time, but have gone back to Ubuntu. I use Ubuntu the most, then it’s probably a toss up between Win7, XP and Mac OS X 10.8.

I began to get back into the hobby of Amateur radio several years ago by selling most of my equipment! I participate in Field Day, State QSO parties and November Sweepstakes. I also use APRS. I spend a good bit of time building various wire antennas. My MFJ-259b gets a lot of use.

I am also working on obtaining A+ certification and would not mind continuing in some Linux certification.
